        FAQs

        Where is Hampton Court Palace?

Hampton Court Palace is in the London borough of Richmond upon Thames. The nearest train station is Hampton Court, a 30-minute train journey from London Waterloo in central London, and 3-4 minutes' walk from the Palace itself. It’s located in Zone 6 of London’s transport system, so you can use your Visitor Oyster Card, travel card or contactless debit/credit card to get there. You can also purchase your train tickets here.

Who lives at Hampton Court Palace?

No members of the royal family currently reside in Hampton Court Palace. However, the palace, owned by the Crown, is far from empty. It's a living museum echoing with the tales and intrigues of past monarchs like Henry VIII. The fact that no one lives there now should not deter you; the place itself is alive with history, demanding your visit to experience it.

        FAQs

What pubs will we visit on the tour?

The tour calls at four historic pubs, but which exact pubs they are will vary depending on the day, time of year and pub availability.

Will we have time to eat in any of the pubs?

No, the stops aren’t long enough to order, wait for and eat food, so we recommend eating before the tour or choosing one of the many great local pubs and restaurants afterwards.

I’m under 18. Can I join the tour?

No, the tour is strictly for over-18s only. Please bring a valid form of identification (e.g. passport or driver’s license) as you may be asked to present these by pub staff.

            FAQs

How do I get to Chessington World of Adventures Resort from London?

We recommend taking the 36-minute train from London Waterloo to Chessington South station. From here the park is a 15-minute walk or the number 71 bus is a 6-minute journey.

Are there any age or height restrictions for the rides?

Yes, some rides at Chessington have age, height, or health restrictions for safety reasons. These restrictions vary depending on the ride, so we recommended checking the information boards at the entrance of each ride.

Can I bring outside food and drinks into the park?

Outside food and drinks are generally not permitted inside but, there are loads of dining options available within the park, offering a variety of cuisines to suit different tastes and dietary requirements.

Is there a dress code for visiting Chessington?

There isn’t a strict dress code, but you’ll want to be comfortable for a day outdoors with lots of walking around the park. Closed-toe shoes are recommended, especially for those planning to enjoy the rides.

            Hours of Operation

The opening times can vary, so for the most up-to-date hours, we recommend checking the Chessington World of Adventures Resort website.
